5g genuine Smalt which is said to be the oldest human-made cobalt blue pigment. Used by some artists in the Renaissance and Baroque period (especially when Lapis or Azurite was unavailable). However, due to the vast industrial production of new, more stable blue pigments, the knowledge surrounding smalt was almost lost at the beginning of the 20th century but re-created in 1977 according to an 1820 recipe. An important addition to the collection of blue pigments.
