A work about transformation. Hydrangea flowers (floriography: devoted heart) have the ability to change their colour. By adding e.g coffee grounds to the soil, she will change from pink to blue. And as the native Blue Banded Bee adores blue flowers, this hydrangea is transforming herself to enjoy a new sweetness in life. The artwork is titled, 'Arrival of blue' and celebrates our ability to transform our lives to be sweeter and have more purpose in the world. By changing our 'food', adding more love, kindess and compassion to our diet, we achieve more of what our heart truly wants. And as with life, watching the slow transformation of a hydrangea flower, from pink to blue, is just as beautiful and inspiring to others.
