Apothecary Artist

A series of nature inspired mandalas. Created in 2023, each of these original paintings contains only natural, hand-made paints based on historic recipes from a time pre-dating petrochemical ingredients. Absolutely one-of-a-kind, not only within the design but the ingredients vary from one painting to the next. A full apothecary of plant and mineral based pigments, resins, oils, tinctures with applied leaf metals makes each one a celebration of nature in all its diversity and wonder. These paintings represent years of research, many adventures sourcing genuine materials and the artist's great love of nature and humanity.
