Paint made with featured ingredient: Genuine modern powdered pigments
[Modern white pigments made from: barite, titanium, zinc, pine ink on traditional gesso on 640gsm archival paper]
In the industrial period the manufacture of Lead white for house paint was so toxic to the workers, the air and the users that a new white pigment was developed to replace it. At first Zinc (Chinese) white was introduced which became a popular additive for a tempera (later called gouache) followed by Titanium white, now used everywhere.
