Paint made with featured ingredient: Genuine organic wheat

Wheat starch was used by early painters to bulk up paints however it was during the 20th century when artist supplies were rationed, that it was used as a medium to bind pigments. The starch would be made into a fine glue, filtered through a cloth and then mixed with white pigment to make gouache.
