Paint made with featured ingredient: Genuine cold-pressed organic rosemary oil

[Rosemary oil, rosemary leaf ink, organic red wine, Italian manganese violet, green earth, oak gall ink on traditional gesso on 640gsm archival paper]

Artists would generally add rosemary oil to slow the drying rate of temperas and was preferable to turpentine in oil paint as rosemary oil would maintain the bond between pigment and binding medium more effectively. Today generally synthesised turps is used as it is more affordable in large quantities
