[Organic skim milk, 5 types of grass ink, clover ink, dandelion ink, Australian ochres, Australian seaweed, eucalyptus gall ink on traditional gesso on 640gsm archival paper]
When mixed with lime, skim milk can be transformed into a strong glue which in turn can be used to temper pigments for a paint called Casein. Mostly used as a house paint before synthetics paints were developed, it was a smart way to use up excess milk.
